AlsoSwap is a non-custodial interface. We do not take custody of your assets, keys, seed phrases, or private information. If you connect a wallet, you are interacting with smart contracts on-chain.
Overview
When you use the AlsoSwap web app, most “data” you see is sourced from the blockchain (public by design) or from your wallet provider. The app may also store interface preferences locally in your browser.
This notice focuses on the interface. It does not change how the underlying blockchain works.
What We Collect
By default, the interface may process the following:
- Wallet address: used to display balances, positions, and to prepare transactions for signing.
- On-chain activity: pool swaps, liquidity actions, and events are public and may be indexed by third-party infrastructure.
- Technical metadata: basic request logs on your device (errors, network mismatches) to help the UI function.
We do not ask for your seed phrase. If any site asks for it, do not proceed.
Local Storage & Settings
The interface may store settings on your device, for example slippage tolerance, deadline, preferred routing mode, and token metadata you entered (icon/description/links).
This information is stored in your browser storage and can be cleared by removing site data in your browser settings.
Third Parties
The app may connect to infrastructure providers to read chain state and (optionally) fetch indexed history:
- Wallet providers (for example MetaMask) for account access and transaction signing.
- RPC endpoints to read and submit transactions to the network.
- Indexers (for example The Graph) to power historical analytics, where enabled.
Third parties may have their own privacy policies. This notice does not control their practices.
Security
No system is risk-free. Use a hardware wallet where possible and verify the network and contract addresses before signing transactions.
For planned security improvements, see Security Roadmap.
